I am proud to be associated with Cross Plains ISD as the elementary school principal. I am excited about the learning that is taking place on our campus this year. The theme for the elementary campus for the 2008-2009 school year is "Cross Plains Elementary School --- Wild about Learning." Parents and community are encouraged to join us as we strive to develop students who will carry a love of learning throughout their lives. Cross Plains Elementary has established a tradition as a successful school. As you enter the building, you will see our award plaques and certificates from previous years. This past school year of 2007-2008, Cross Plains Elementary School was named a Texas Education Agency "Recognized" School and received additional Gold Performance Acknowledgement in Science. Gold Performance acknowledgement was received as well in Comparable Improvement in Reading/ELA and Mathematics, thanks to the hard work of our students, staff and parents. We hope to have a great school report card for the 2008-2009 school year.

Cross Plains Elementary School is an integral part of the Cross Plains community. Our community motto is "Cross Plains---a caring community." Cross Plains Elementary School is a community school which provides students with outstanding instructional experiences in a "caring" learning environment. Our staff, parents and students work in harmony to create a learning environment where respect and responsibility foster achievement and success.

At Cross Plains Elementary School, we have a top-notch staff. Our teachers are among the very best. They continually strive to utilize current best practices in the instructional program. Our teachers are dedicated to their students in the Cross Plains community. All of our staff- teachers, instructional aides, office staff, custodians, and cafeteria staff are enthusiastically dedicated to being the best for our students. We are extremely proud of our school.
