CROSS PLAINS I.S.D. DISTRICT GOALS

2008 – 2009

 

 

District Goal  1:  All students will be expected to meet or exceed state educational performance standards.  The ultimate goal will be an “exemplary” school district.

 

District Goal  2:  A well-balanced curriculum will be taught so that all students may realize their learning potential and prepare for productive lives.  Eighth grade TAKS Social Studies.

 

District Goal  3:  A well balanced curriculum will be taught so that all students may realize learning potential and prepare for productive lives.  Students will master TEKS at each grade level.

 

District Goal  4:  Parents and other members of the community will be partners in the improvement of the school.

 

District Goal  5:  Teachers and aides at all levels are to be provided training in teaching methods which take into account student learning styles, cooperative learning, the effects of high expectations for achievement, and mastery learning.

 

District Goal  6:  Special programs will be designed to help students served by those programs to meet or exceed state performance standards.  Increase the academic achievement level of at-risk students.

 

District Goal  7:  Special programs will be designed to help students served by those programs to meet or exceed state performance standards.  Increase the academic achievement of Special Education students.

 

 

District Goal  8:  Special programs will be designed to help students served by those programs to meet or exceed state performance standards.  Increase the academic achievement of ESL students.

 

District Goal  9:  Special programs will be designed to help students by those programs to meet or exceed state performance standards.  Increase the academic achievement of Career and Technology students.

 

District Goal 10:  Special programs will be designed to help students served by those programs to meet or exceed state performance standards.  Increase the academic achievement of Gifted and Talented students.

 

District Goal 11:  The learning environment throughout the district will be safe.  All students, faculty, and staff will consistently be involved in practicing good citizenship, demonstrating respect toward self and others, and exhibiting a cooperative spirit.
